Buzz Aldrin part of the “Aliens On the Moon” special

Sounds like another humdinger. The Syfy network will air a two-hour special called “Aliens On The Moon: The Truth Exposed” on July 20 (the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing). The director is the guy from the Alien Autopsy video. Call me closed-minded but this CAN’T be good.

Paranormal Pop Culture: Buzz Aldrin To Reveal Alien Encounter On Syfy Special?.

Produced by Robert Kiviat (who was also behind 1995’s controversial “Alien Autopsy” special), the documentary is supposed to include never-before-seen footage that will “show evidence of alien structures on the moon.” Other promoted highlights include information about a female alien being found on the moon and revelations about aliens seen in the cockpit of a flying saucer.

Perhaps most interesting is that the special will feature interviews with Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Edgar Mitchell “in which they share their belief in the existence of UFOs from first hand experiences.”

The story goes that once Buzz Aldrin did see something floating outside the ship. But that in no way says it’s of alien origin. Speculation is that he is hiding something. Of course, there’s a conspiracy afoot.

Did Buzz Aldrin see a UFO on his way to the Moon? |

Mitchell already thinks there is a conspiracy and has been touting a lot of mystical things these many years.

I have to disagree with my friend Aaron Sagers of Paranormal Pop Culture here. This is not just in fun when people really believe this stuff. I don’t think speculation and nonsense is a good way to celebrate the anniversary of a very science-based project like our moon trips. But, as he notes, it’s on a science fiction channel, not Discovery Channel which is supposed to be more credible. However, I don’t think a significant percentage of the viewers will get that. They also think Ghost Hunters is real and sciencey.

I’m expecting this will also be controversial. Always good for ratings but not for society in general.

    “closed-minded”? Or extrapolation from a known track-record?

If they would air information that they would back-up with anything more than speculation and guesses, people would be more open-minded.

It appears more closed-minded to me to reject the actual facts available that refute lots of the claims out there (see “NASA Never Went To the Moon”).

If this isn’t an Alternative 3 style open hoax/mockumentary, I’ll be somewhat surprised.

One thing he’s into is quantum intention. This from the website of Adam McLeod, aka, Dreamhealer:

“…Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who in the film “The Living Matrix” credits Dreamhealer with distantly healing his kidney carcinoma.” see and

Here’s a blog article on the BP oil disaster and claims by Dreamhealer and Deepak Chopra while the disaster was unfolding that ‘quantum intentions’ could prevent it from worsening. So we know what kind of company Mitchell keeps.

PROTIP: The movie “Transformers 3” is not a historical documentary.

I wonder if Richard Hoagland or Mike Bara will be involved. They claim there are ancient structures on both the Moon and Mars.

So, are they all sitting in someone’s living room, getting drunk or high, and one of them says, “I know, let’s tell everyone a female alien was found on the moon.”

ohboy. I saw some of this on Above Top Secret some time back. Someone was trying to tout CGI as the real deal… I had some better CGI toys of my own back then, and showed how stuff could be faked. Sounds like this person got funding or something.

Interesting timing, Buzz is promoting this #Apollo45 thing for the 45th anniversary of the Moon landing.

    > Alternative 3

An excellent example of a hoax meant to mock kooks but that kooks seized upon and promoted as real!

” interviews with Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Edgar Mitchell”

    For the record.
Edwin Eugene Aldrin, Jr. was the Lunar Module pilot for Apollo 11, July 1969
He was the second man on the Moon
(Aldrin made “Buzz” his legal first name in 1988)

Edgar Mitchell was the Lunar Module pilot for Apollo 14 Jan/Feb 1071
He was the sixth man on the Moon.

Well done David – beat me to it. It could be indicative of the amount of research that has been done, if they can’t even be bothered checking which missions they actually flew on (and of course, Aldrin also flew a then record EVA on Gemini 12 in 1966).

Given Aldrin’s altercation a few years ago with that lunatic denier you’d have to wonder why he’s involved at all. Surely he knows better?

The geeky parenting blog GeekDad received a notice from a PR company requesting them to advertise this “documentary” to their readers. I love how they responded:

(That post was written by a NASA engineer)

“the documentary is supposed to include never-before-seen footage that will show evidence of alien structures on the moon.”

According to the Sensationalistic Dictionary, the term “never-before-seen footage” means: CGI videos made in the 2014 but passed off as authentic historic footage from the ’60s.

I bet all the gullible people will swallow Robert Kiviat’s lies, honk, line and sinker.

p.s.: oh come on! a female alien on the moon? Seriously?!? How did they know that the alien was biologically a female? phooey… what a load of BS.

Let the fictio-documentary go through. Some people out there still think landings were oaxes. Let’s deepen the mystery. How much money did they pay the buzz…..

Actually the ‘alien structure’ is going to be sourced from the “Call of Duty Zombies Forum”.

This episode of the Exposing Pseudo Astronomy podcast covers the whole sorry story:

Anyone else seek out the full footage of the alien thing? What do you think about the moons gravity in the first 30 seconds of the clip? I still wonder how that guy flipping the camera got it to fall so fast. 😉
