Hinckley’s hopping with UFO reports

People have been reporting lights in the sky of this Midlands town in the U.K. However, they aren’t really looking for answers, just sort of panicking over it.

More UFO sightings in the skies of Hinckley – Hinckley Times.

More sightings of suspected UFOs in Hinckley have been reported.

The latest incidents happened on May 31 when two separate people reported seeing UFOs hovering around the Hollycroft area.

One man saw a yellow light crossing the sky at 1.35am and the other man saw a blue light in the sky that hovered before disappearing at 9.20pm.

The witness to the first incident said: “I saw a bright light, about the size of a usual plane, above the Hollycroft area, but there was no sound.

Hinckley Aerial Phenomena Investigations and Leicestershire UFO Investigation Network volunteer Graham Hall said they are appealing for more witnesses to come forward to help establish what the objects may have been.

The UFO investigators are collecting more info and wondering if they weren’t chinese lanterns, commonly seen floating in the sky and often misinterpreted as UFOs. But many people are saying these sightings were of the International Space Station which can be seen over the U.K. at particular times. True investigation would mean to rule out these very obvious things and the ISS should certainly be checked.

It seems like such mysterious sightings are the talk of the town since they began. This priming will lead many others to look up and report what they see. There are a LOT of things up there, mostly man-made and explainable if you have all the facts. There is little need to make a UFO mystery story about it.

I wonder what the source could be for a blindingly bright light shining down in total silence? It happened to my brother many years ago.

I’m not sure what your brother saw (sounds intereresting) but – did anyone in this case report what you described? I couldn’t see it in the newspaper article – I got the impression they were mostly relatively distant lights. But for me the ufo group’s website is returning a 404 error, so can’t read what they said any more.

I have had that happen- it was a spotlight shining on the opposite apartment where I lived about 20 years ago (in FL). No sound at all. It didn’t waver, and just kind of slid over the building and went out.

There has been a lot of aircraft movements over my house of late, many helicopters in particular – I’m in the Home Counties, north of London, also some American aircraft, B52 & B2 bombers, have deployed in the UK to take part in military exercises over Europe.

Apart from the afore mentioned aircraft movements of NATO aircraft to & from Eastern Europe, having the aircraft landing in northern English & the odd Scot’s base, there have been umpteen air to air refuelling occurring over the UK, day & night. As you say it’s summer, & many shops actually promoting Chinese lanterns. Also those naughty Russians are back at the old Cold War style overflights of UK territory, causing the QRAs (Quick Reaction Alerts) by RAF, & many other NATO forces too, day & night. Helluve lot of planes with blinky lights in sky, apart from several celestial movements, & odd meteor or meterrite.

“Chinese lanterns” – the Chinese are expanding everywhere, even in the low-tech sector once again. And … currently the Vietnamese have strange sightings of Chinese battle ships and oil rigs.
