God was speaking through ranting stenographer

In an update to this story, “He will not be mocked…” but you may be: Stenographer snaps, the ranting Congressional stenographer defends herself.

House Stenographer: ‘I Did Not Have a Breakdown’

The House stenographer who was dragged from the floor by Capitol Police last fall after shouting about God, the Freemasons and a House divided counts the Oct. 16 incident as the fourth time “the lord has put on my heart to speak.”

Dianne Reidy said she remembers “walking to the dais and speaking, and standing at the podium where the president speaks as God would have it, but I did not lose my mind.”

Speaking publicly for the first time in the nearly five months since the outburst, Reidy maintained she was driven to act by God.

“I did not have a breakdown,” she said in a 38-minute video posted Sunday afternoon.

Well you had SOMETHING going on there, that’s for darn sure. She doesn’t remember what happened that night, she says, and questions the video. (REALLY?!) She and her husband believe God was speaking through her that night. Sorry, if I, as a U.S. taxpayer, do not want someone who seriously thinks those things serving in this position.

If one person talks to an invisible entity it’s called psychotic. If a lot of people talk to an invisible entity it’s called religion.

As a species, our days are truly numbered. We need to distance ourselves from old ways, old beliefs..

It’s disturbing to see such resurgence of religion these days. It’s 2014. Anyone would think we have never been educated and we are still living in the 1200’s

During times of uncertainty people, tend to, revert to more traditional beliefs, and the comforting irrational.

If civilization does collapse in the next fifty years, or so– there are some studies, one by NASA, that suggests just that– then we will definitely see an other “Dark Ages”.

We see this pattern play out in history all too often, with regard to collapse of civilizations, economic downturns, and uncertainty in general.
