Huge wave crashes into cruise ship, killing passenger

A man died and several others were injured when a freak wave struck a cruise ship in the English Channel. If it’s not norovirus, it’s freak waves. I do not like ships.

Cruise ship passenger killed by freak wave – Telegraph.

Water crashed through a window injuring a number of the 735 passengers, who were mainly British. An 85-year-old male passenger and a woman passenger in her 70s were airlifted off the ship. The male passenger later died, the company said.

The weather was bad on the trip home. The stormy seas produced an extra large wave. High winds along with focusing of currents can cause two or more waves to merge into a super-sized wave. There are many accounts of rogue waves hitting ships and coasts.

So attending a skeptics cruise is out of the question? ;-)

It’s okay. I still am squeamish around spiders of a certain size.

Spiders of unusual size? I don’t think they exist.
