Daughter attacks Mom thinking she was the Anti-Christ

Another “Satanic” themed story. This idea of real evil promoted through Satan and cults is getting out of hand, has some of us wondering if we’ll see another “Satanic panic”.

Daughter Confesses To Stabbing Mom – Philadelphia News, Weather and Sports from WTXF FOX 29.

A Tennessee woman told a reporter she had to kill her mother because of a satanic curse.

Police were investigating the stabbing of the 61-year-old victim at this apartment in Knox County Tuesday morning.

The suspect Katie Nichols came up to a reporter and admitted she had to kill her mother because her mother was the ringleader of a satanic cult- and was trying to kill her granddaughter.

“The satanic cult in this city has been casting satanic spells on me for three, four days. I’m exhausted. I came home and found out my mom was the ringleader and was trying to kill my daughter,” Nichols said. “I had to kill her; she was going to kill both of us. She was so powerful, I had no idea. I had no idea that my mother was that powerful.”

The woman survived.

Nichols is obviously not in her right mind. After she fled with her own young daughter, she returned, confessing to the reporters. These paranoid beliefs about occult forces may send mentally ill people over the edge. There is little we can do about that but the problem spreads to society when readers BELIEVE that there is a real Satanic cult out there wanting to hurt people. The Satanists will vehemently deny it. Perhaps you don’t trust them? Ok, there is also ZERO evidence that such cults of murder and mayhem Satan worshippers exist.

Nichols has been charged with attempted first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping.

Thus do we see the fruits of religious indoctrination. It’s a bit scary that this follows hot on the heels of the thing about making the study of Evolution optional and the one-in-four statistic about the sun rotating around the earth… (though that last one is a bit sketchy)

somehow, I would suspect the ‘satanist’ thing was thought up *after* the attack as an excuse, rather than being the reason for it… were there ever any claims of ‘satanic abuse’ which have turned out to be true? (aside from the occasional teenager pretending to be doing satainic rituals in order to frighten other teenagers)
