These peanuts have a bite to them

This was a bit weird.
Loose tooth pops up in peanuts | Toronto Sun.

A couple’s New Year’s Eve celebration came to a halt after making a grisly discovery in a bag of Safeway-brand Spanish peanuts.

A human tooth.

That is the claim made by Michaela Epp after her boyfriend, Graham Calder, accidentally bit down and realized he wasn’t eating a peanut.

“He spit it out and looked at it, and it was a tooth,” she said. “So he started feeling around to make sure it wasn’t his.”

It looks like a tooth but hard to tell. The article notes the peanuts were processed in Canada but where they were grown is unstated. It would be interesting to know how old the object is. The company who manufactures the product will take the sample for testing. This article has a list of weird things people have found in food. How some things get in there… we may never know.
