Pope John Paul II relic stolen – blame the Satanists

Always with the Satanists… an easy scapegoat.

Blood of Pope John Paul II stolen in possible ‘satanic’ theft – Telegraph.

A religious reliquary containing blood from the late Pope John Paul II has been stolen from a remote mountain church in Italy, with speculation that a Satanic group could be behind the theft.

“It’s possible that there could be Satanic sects behind the theft of the reliquary,” said Giovanni Panunzio, the national coordinator of an anti-occult group called Osservatorio Antiplagio.

“This period of the year is important in the Satanic calendar and culminates in the Satanic ‘new year’ on Feb 1. This sort of sacrilege often take place at this time of the year. We hope that the stolen items are recovered as quickly as possible.”

The object in question is a piece of clothing worn by the late Pope after a failed assassination attempt back in 1981. It was donated to the church in 2011 by John Paul II’s former secretary Stanislaw Dzuwisz in 2011. The “anti-occult” group seems to be the only one saying it’s Satanic. I’m not buying it. It could just as well be religious zealots who want the relic. I see no evidence other than speculation to blame it on Satanists (they are probably too busy doing other things than bothering to steal holy relics). The article notes in the past, another PJP relic was stolen by theives but eventually recovered.

They make this stuff up as they go along – unless Satan is a groundhog.

I too wonder, who says that Feb 1 is the “Satanic New Year”? Is he taking a shot at the Eastern Orthodox Church, and Candlemass?

As it turned out it could be drug addicts:

” (Reuters) – Police on Thursday recovered a stolen gold and glass case that once contained the blood of the late Pope John Paul II, only to find the cloth stained with the blood itself was missing, officials said.

Pasquale Corriere, head of the association that looks after the small church in the mountains east of Rome from which the reliquary was stolen, said two men had been detained by police in the regional capital, L’Aquila.

The men took the police to the site where they had dumped the reliquary, but the cloth stained with the blood of the pope, who died in 2005, was no longer inside, Corriere said.

Police were interrogating the men, who they believed to be drug addicts, and searching their apartment, Corriere said. A small crucifix stolen along with the reliquary from the church of San Pietro della Ienca last weekend was also recovered.”

On other sites like on one Bishops Conference site which translates news from the Vatican it is believed that someone hired those drug addicts for the “relic”. In the end it can be that some religious believer in John Paul II with a lot of money could be behind this whole affair but that is just speculation however so far no satanists but drug addicts are the culprits behind it.
