Fatal buttocks injection case heads to court

These stories are not only difficult to write but difficult to comprehend. We’ve had a few stories about people undergoing illegal cosmetic procedures by unlicensed, CLEARLY questionable, administrators in unsafe conditions. But they pay! They go through with it. It can cost them their health and their lives.

Trial for ‘Pebbelz Da Model’ begins Monday in fatal buttocks injection case.

The trial of a woman charged with helping arrange the unlicensed buttocks injections that prosecutors say killed a Georgia woman in 2012 is scheduled to begin Monday in Jackson.

Adult entertainer Natasha Stewart, also known as Pebbelz Da Model, is charged with depraved-heart murder and other counts in the death of 37-year-old Karima Gordon of Atlanta.

Authorities said she falsely presented the person performing the procedure as a licensed medical professional. That person, Tracey Lynn Garner, is charged with giving the injections and is scheduled for trial in March, also on depraved-heart murder charges. Garner also is charged in the 2010 death of Marilyn Hale of Selma, Ala., who authorities say died from similar injections.

Authorities initially identified Garner as a man, Morris Garner, but her attorney said Garner, who was born male, had sex reassignment surgery. Garner’s lawyers also have declined to comment on the case due to the gag order.

Injection of “fix-a-flat” material resulted in manslaughter charges.

Pumping parties have also resulted in deaths.

This is a serious issue in Venezuela.

I did a quick Google search and I could not see if they also charge for practicing medicine without a license or what this woman held herself out to be. Often people will call themselves a Cosmetic surgeon, which is typically shady as there are plastic surgeons, but not a recognized college of cosmetic surgeons. While this is a terrible outcome, folks attempting body modification from non-experts is actually fairly common. Sad.

Actually, I don’t think she did call herself a professional. People knew they were getting a cut-rate treatment.

I saw a full body pic of her when this happened. Why in the *hell* someone would want to do what she did to her body is past my reasoning. It looked like she had beach balls down the seat of her pants.

I’m not even going to fight it. What a butthead she was to do this to herself.
