Freedom Tower moans in the wind – Destined to be forever “haunted”

There is a new youtube vid going around that purports to show strange noises generated at the new Freedom Tower site. Yes, there is noise. No, it is not THE GHOSTS OF 9/11!!

I’m sorry, sometimes you have to call a spade a spade, or in this case, an idiotic and ignorant mystery mongering web site a piece of BS.

9/11 Ghosts Wailing at New World Trade Center? – News – Bubblews.

Can the ghosts of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center be heard wailing through the new complex?

That’s the question as videos pop up on YouTube demonstrating that a strange, howling sound echoes through the site whenever a strong wind blows.

But there’s no escaping the eery [sic] quality of this new phenomenon and anyone with a touch of mysticism will agree the sound of wailing voices coming from the area are unsettling and very spooky.

We’ve covered this before when the tower was being built and Hurricane Sandy whooshed through making the building into a natural aeolian (wind) harp. Stuff like this happens and is likely responsible for many of the mystery “sky noises” that have been hyped over the past two years. We’ve posted about these mystery sounds EXTENSIVELY – the only non-paranormally inclined site to do so in such a comprehensive manner, but people still wish to believe sky noises are trumpets of the apocalypse or some such nonsense. Please learn some simple acoustics. The wind against objects makes noise – it causes vibrations that generate sound. This sound can be eerie, beautiful or disturbing. But it’s natural, not supernatural. I fear that this structure at Ground Zero will forever be associated with spirits of the dead and predict the building will perpetually be “haunted”, by mind monsters.

Another point, this gives me the opportunity to say that this site, Bubblews, is beyond Doubtful. Nothing on here is to be trusted as it is user driver for sensationalism and unreferenced, unverified paranormal nonsense. Don’t ever go there. You can tell just by the spelling…

Hmmm, average attention span of the American public, on any given major event, six months to a year of actual heartfelt caring.

Add the appalling lack of historical knowledge, and complete disinterest with current/world events…

I give it twenty years before people start saying things like “Why is this building haunted, again?”

It would have been cool if they had done this on purpose. Aeolian harps are pretty “haunting” in an artistic sense. There are some good examples on YouTube:

That one does sound like a choir of voices. I could see it as a memorial.

Here is how to make your own:

Then tell your neighbors that the box came in the mail from a deceased relative and it’s sending messages … well, that is sarcasm, but one of the best ways to debunk a myth is to do it as a magic trick.
