Oh, that Meryl… lost in court for good reason

Sorry if we don’t feel like having a pity party for Meryl Dorey, anti-vax campaigner.

AVN campaigner ordered to pay $11,000 in costs | News.com.au.

Meryl Dorey has been ordered to pay $11,000 in costs to cover the legal fees of Stop the Australian Vaccination Network campaigner Dan Buzzard after he appealed against an apprehended violence order she took out against him last year.

In a blog post appealing to the public to give her cash to pay the bill, Ms Dorey says she has “virtually no income nor do I have any way to raise these funds”.

The article outlines some of Meryl’s accusations. THe AVN has had a string of legal issues. They really don’t like critics and whine that the evil skeptics are trying to shut them down. However, the AVN bring grief on themselves with their campaigns against vaccination and their reported harassment of parents who have lost children to vaccination-preventable diseases. That’s why I don’t believe that people have a right to an ignorant opinion. This should be especially true of those who make public policy.

We don’t live in a vacuum, which means that our beliefs effect others via our actions.

Those who approach life from the perspective of “credo quia absurdum/ignorantiae” are maintaining unethical beliefs.
