New bio on Geller to be rushed out

The Uri show continues. Why not? People buy into this stuff. I can’t understand for the life of me why since Geller is an extremely unimpressive character except in terms of self-promotion – in which he excels.

Look out for a new biography to be based on his latest hyped claims about working for government operatives. It will be “rushed” out.

Watkins signs Uri Geller biography | The Bookseller.

Watkins Publishing has signed an authorised biography of Uri Geller, exploring his claims to have worked with the CIA and Mossad.

The Secret Life of Uri Geller by Jonathan Margolis will be rushed out in August as an e-book to coincide with a new BBC2 documentary about Geller. The documentary, made by Oscar-winning director Vikram Jayanti, also looks at Geller’s background, when organisations such as the CIA and Mossad are said to have tested Geller’s psychic claims in mind reading experiments.

The biography will also be released in print in September.

Interested in finding out more about this quasi-entertainer/mentalist? The definitive guide is not his own biography, since he tends to make quite a bit of himself but this book: The Truth About Uri Geller. The author, James Randi, was sued by Geller. Geller lost. Now, Geller reinvents himself periodically to stay in the news.

Okay this bit intrigued me: “It will be “rushed” out.”

Why does it need to be “rushed out”? Is he going to die soon? Or does he have some other less lethal project in the works?

Geller came out to magicians’ organizations as a magician admitting he had no “special” powers. Some magicians accept him. Those of us with ethics do not.

I think it is being rushed out to coincide with the buzz on this new documentary. He’s riding a wave. Or, at least the publicity machine is.

Would that be the documentary I just watched wherein Uri refused to comment, confirm or deny any Mossad or CIA involvement?
His SRI/Scientology chum, Puthoff, had a lot to say though.
