Former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) says the White House has helped keep the truth about the “extraterrestrial influence that is investigating our planet” from the public.
Gravel is one of six former congress representatives who were paid $20,000 by the UFO advocacy group Paradigm Research to participate in a Congressional-style Citizen Hearing on Disclosure in Washington this week, where witness after witness has presented first-hand accounts of UFO sightings and extraterrestrial visits.
Gravel says the strongest accounts of alien encounters are from former military officers, such as retired Air Force Capt. Robert Salas, who testified that UFOs temporarily disabled nuclear weapons on his watch.
Gravel says the media has aided what he sees as a government cover-up by not taking reports of ET encounters seriously.
“What we’re faced with here is, in areas of the media, and the government too, an effort to marginalize and ridicule people who have specific knowledge,” he says.
As previously noted, the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure is theatre designed to publicize UFO evidence. Those who run it are CONVINCED that there is a government conspiracy. But they have very poor evidence. Stories, lots of stories. Eyewitness accounts. And, as Gravel does here, they are banking on the argument from authority. The authority figures in the military are assumed to be more trustworthy. That’s not true. They are people. Perhaps you can say they aren’t as prone to make up attention-getting stories but who knows. The fact remains that they MAY not have all the information and have erroneous concluded, “it’s aliens”. Or, there is a reason why the information on UFOs doesn’t exist. Because they AREN’T alien spacecraft.
This is a ridiculous means to establish credibility and I hope that active members of Congress don’t fall for it. A real hearing involves multiple viewpoints from experts, not just those with an agenda. The problem so far with this circus has been that there is NOTHING new being presented. Nothing better being presented. Many of this “testimony” has alternative explanations. That part is not being presented. When you get to see only what they want you to see, is this a fare “hearing”? Of course not.
