Psychic Friends say, “Reply hazy, try again”

Short, sweet and HILARIOUS

The Psychic Friends Network Cannot Predict Its Future – Bloomberg.

Some corporate disclosures are so delightful it’s best to just let them speak for themselves.
This week a Henderson, Nevada-based company called Psychic Friends Network Inc. released a copy of its latest investor presentation as part of a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

[...] the first page of the presentation includes some important cautionary language. “Undue reliance should not be placed on the forward-looking statements,” it says, “because PFN can give no assurance that they will prove to be correct.”

That sure is telling, that this is strictly entertainment. It sure was an entertaining quote.

I thought about going into the online/phone psychic biz for some extra cash. I’m pretty good at cold reading and making my more woo-prone friends freak out with tarot cards. Stupid conscience…

I suppose it has something to do with the fact that if they make a guarantee to investors, they actually have to produce results. Investors are such demanding creatures, actually demanding concrete results.

I thought all that psychic stuff went out a decade ago when NO PSYCHICS PREDICTED 9/11! I know the tabloids stopped doing the annual predictions issues. People still call the psychic friends?
