The Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc Conference

Roseanne Barr to Speak at Chemtrails and Geo-Engineering Conference in Los Angeles & Live Online

Are Geo-Engineers embarking on a dangerous path in an attempt to control the weather? Will the fears over global warming be used to develop a potentially devastating scenario? What will the implications of spraying the skies with heavy metals be on water supplies, food resources and human beings?

These questions and many others will be asked during three days of discussion centered on science, action plans and solutions at the Consciousness Beyond Chemtrails Conference to be held from August 17 – 19, 2012, at the historic Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. The entire event will also be available live online; details for viewing are listed on the website.

Why did I entitled this story “The Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc Conference”? Because the chemtrail conspiracy theorists’ evidence amounts to videoing aircraft making pretty clouds. Then setting jars of water out for a month then testing the water and finding a minute amount of barium in it and saying it was caused by chemtrails. And testing water from a pond and finding *gasp* high levels of aluminum in it while ignoring the simple fact that soil is 7% aluminum.

So they see clouds made by airplanes, find stuff in water at ground level, and say one caused the other. Voila! Post hoc ergo propter hoc. And they’re having a conference just to celebrate this logical fallacy.

They also released a YouTube video to announce their conference. They zoom in on an aircraft making contrails and you can see the contrail form well behind the aircraft. If they really are spraying mind-control/geo-engineering chemicals then the trail would form immediately after it leaves the engine, like you see when crop-dusters are spraying.

Here are two excellent take downs of the science used by the the chemtrails conspiracists:
Chemical Analysis of Contrails – Contrail Science » Contrail Science
Barium Chemtrails on KSLA – Contrail Science » Contrail Science

Thank you so much for this article. I read it & the 2 links. I have always thought the chemtrail idea stupid, but, not having a science background, I didn’t know why. Now I’m armed with correct information.
