A small but good-humoured protest outside Wokingham Town Hall greeted audience members at the first meeting of the Thames Valley Homeopaths.
Six members of the Berkshire Skeptics Society handed out leaflets to those arriving to hear Dr Jayne Donegan’s presentation on a alternative approach to treating childhood illness on March 14.
He said: “The ladies from Thames Valley Homeopaths seemed genuinely amused by our presence and it was all generally good-humoured.
“We simply handed out some leaflets summarising the principles of homeopathy and how it is not as effective as some people believe.
“We didn’t seek to disrupt the talk itself in any way, merely to provide people with some reliable information on the subject.”

Good job. More people need to hear the other side. Hopefully, it plants a seed. But major exposure is needed, like the Boiron settlements and their required change in packaging to show that homeopathic treatments have nothing in them. After all these years, they still can’t show that they work except through testimonials.
