Housing association pulls a fast one by giving homeless a haunted flat

Family offered haunted flat but they would rather be homeless

A family got the shock of their lives this week – after finding out the rented house they had just been offered is supposedly haunted.

Jaime McCargow and his mum Alison Woollan were set to move into the pad before they found out about its spooky history in Thursday’s Daily Record.

They have been homeless for more than a year…

Initially they were delighted to be offered the smart two-bedroom flat in Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow – until they read Ashley Summers’s spooky claims.

Ashley, 26, was forced out of the flat after unexplained events including ghostly noises and seeing objects flying across the room when no one else was there.

This is almost too stupid to be true. They believe the stories? Hard to comprehend someone can be that superstitious to refuse such an offer. Is there more here we don’t know? Or is this just weird?

Really? You’d rather be homeless than live in a “haunted” house? The housing association isn’t trying to pull a fast one. It’s just that they’re not stupid enough to actually think that a deceased human being is flinging around spoons in a tiny apartment in Kirkintilloch. Good grief.

I agree, they should move in and find out for themselves

Wow, after being homeless for a year I think a lot of people would be willing to see how it goes before declining outright, even if they did believe in the paranormal.
