Lincolnshire is devilishly hot for reported paranormal activity

Why is Lincolnshire so Popular with Demons, Witches and Zombies? – International Business Times.

Lincolnshire is regarded as a paranormal hotspot in the UK and even has its own team of ‘ghostbusters’ and it needs it, according to recently uncovered police statistics.

The information released after the FOI revealed some quite surprising results. They showed that in the past five years there has been a total of:

  • 171 reports of witches
  • 2 reports of werewolves
  • 5 reports of vampires
  • 10 UFO sightings
  • 152 reports of ghosts
  • 9 reports of zombies
  • 627 reports of demons
  • 20 reports of wizards

These figures show that there has been nearly 1000 ‘paranormal’ activities reported to Lincolnshire Police over the past five years, with nearly two-thirds of these cases listed reports of ‘demons.’

Amazing! I’d love to see these reports. What makes this location so demon-infested? Is a highly religious population? Is there a cultural impetus for the interpretation of odd events as “demons” or “witches”? Very curious.

    - The article is gibberish of course. And can be completely taken apart before you even start thinking whether ghosts are real or not.
    – BTW I’m from Lincolnshire & it’s where I am staying right now.

Actually I don’t think you can say that the article is gibberish. First of all, it is clearly written. Second, it doesn’t claim that ghosts and zombies and such are real. It simply reports that the local police department receives these calls from the citizenry. The article makes no stand on weather or not these reports are accurate in any way.

OK the first sentence perhaps is a bit non-critical. I’ll grant you that.
