Werewolf report from Woodbridge, Virginia (Seriously) (Updated!)

Werewolf of Woodbridge? | InsideNova.

Officers were called late Monday to the area of Colchester Road and Randall Drive in Woodbridge after a neighbor reported seeing something suspicious.

“A coyote, or a werewolf,” said Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

WHAT? There is a big difference between a coyote and a werewolf! There is not much to go on in this report. Must have been a slow news day cause this was not worth reporting. But, now you know, keep an eye out! One commentator knew the story:

He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook’s. Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein.

And another said it was one of her dogs that was taking full advantage of some freedom that night. There’s a reasonable answer.

UPDATE: Blake Smith (@doctoratlantis) contacted Officer Jonathan L. Perok, the Prince William County Police Public Information Officer quoted above. He specifically asked about where the “werewolf” came in. Officer Perok says:

No [press] release was sent out. The resident contacted the paper about it and they wanted to confirm. It was unknown what they saw exactly. Could of been any kind of medium sized animal. What the quote is, is what the caller told our dispatch center.

So the caller said “werewolf,” not the officer. Meanwhile, this story has grown legs and may run amok.

Hahah well this is pretty funny. Is it possible this was just the case of a spokesman misspeaking? Hilarious, nevertheless.
